Young Filmmakers Contest

Congratulations to the 2021 winners of Millbrae Cultural Committee‘s Young Filmmakers Contest:

Elementary: Mabel Kaufman for her film “Alice the Bad Cat”
High School 9-11th: Hailey Keona Tan for her film “Waste in the Area”
High School 12th: Alexia Ocampo & Carly Burton for their film “H2 Oh No!”

Millbrae Students entering the contest were asked to create films related to very broad topic of sustainability. Young people especially play an important media role by giving voice to issues such as water conservation, protecting native species, properly disposing of waste, and a variety of other environmentally-focused causes. All students who submitted to the contest presented their subjects with an impressive amount of effort and background research!

The three winning films below were showcased at the 2021 Millbrae Mid-Autumn Festival. Please support our young by watching their films below!
