Marshall Nielsen, President
Marshall previously held the position of Director of Engineering for Bechtel National Inc., an American Architectural Engineering company with projects around the world. He was responsible for the technical design and construction of many international multi-million dollar engineering projects consisting of nuclear processing and upgrades to military physical facilities for NATO. The latter part of Marshall’s career was as Director of Engineering for a biotech company, Genentech Inc., responsible for design and construction of biotech laboratories and physical facilities.
Marshall retired from Genentech in 2015 and began focusing on community service, serving on various boards of directors including MCTV. At MCTV his goals include attracting various young professionals to learn the critical and technical aspects of television production, focusing on outreach to disadvantaged students and younger black and Latino professionals.
Jean Hintermann, Treasurer
Jean has been a member of the MCTV Board since its inception, Treasurer for 14 years and also has been actively involved as a special projects producer.He is an honors graduate with a BA in Broadcast Communication Arts from San Francisco State University. While in the Masters Program, Jean was teaching assistant for several years for the Stereo Recording Workshop as well as member of the national music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Simphonia. Upon leaving college, Jean became a professional trumpeter for the next 14 years. Jean’s video credits include being music consultant for Nature’s, Southwest and Wildlife Symphony video programs funded by Readers Digest and broadcast on PBS stations nationwide These videos received 3 Emmy nominations, 3 CINE Golden Eagles and KQED Viewers Choice Awards. With MCTV, he has created and produced six – 5 hour live Millbrae Art & Wine Festival programs and enjoys continuing to produce various video specials for Millbrae.
Rudy Correa
Rudy is the latest member of the Board of Directors to join MCTV. Welcome, Rudy!
Rod Pasion
Rod Pasion has served as a Board Member of MCTV for over 15 years. Rod and his spouse Carla have resided in Millbrae for 30 years where they raised their two daughters, Courtney and Samantha. When not volunteering for various production tasks such as the Bay Area’s worst Floor Director, Rod is employed as a Real Estate Attorney in San Francisco. Rod is also a long time Board Member of KITKA, a Bay Area based Women’s Singing Ensemble.
Randy Sahae
The longest serving member of the Board, Randy began volunteering at Millbrae Channel 8 in 1995. Randy holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley, and a California State Professional Engineer accreditation. Her television experience includes 10 years as a PBS technical volunteer and Director for the KTEH auction and pledge drives. Member and past president of the Millbrae Lions Club, past PTO President of Mills High, she has been active in the community for 20 years and in 2004 won the prestigious Millbrae Woman of the Year award. Randy has previously been employed at MCTV as Director of Technology and Production.
